That’s why SilvaVest GmbH’s ethics policy is based on the Code of Ethics of the Association of Management Consulting Firms (AMCF):

Academic rigour

The advice, appraisals and management provided by SilvaVest are academically rigorous, take into account the full extent of any opportunities and provide an honest assessment of the risks involved. We consider ourselves bound by a duty to be transparent and objective in everything we do.

Independence

SilvaVest is not legally, financially or professionally dependent on any external shareholders or third-party interests. In providing advice and appraisals, we do not allow ourselves to be influenced in any way by external organisations such as political parties, banks or investment trusts.

Discretion

SilvaVest always observes strict confidence, unless the client has a specific interest in publication of the results achieved. We only ever reveal the identity of our clients to third parties with their express consent.

Loyalty

For SilvaVest, providing independent, academically rigorous advice means acting solely in the interests of the contractual partner (in this case the client), and openly declaring any potential conflicts of interest. In undertaking a mandate, SilvaVest and persons acting for it will not accept any payments for expenses, commissions, significant benefits in kind, etc. from third parties.

People

The commercial success of SilvaVest and its clients is shaped by people. They bring their knowledge and ideas to bear on our behalf. Their ability and readiness to recognise, understand and empathise with their clients’ sentiments, motives and goals is second to none. As honest businessmen, they are committed to the goal of achieving long-term financial success, but not at the expense of wider society.

Expertise

SilvaVest provides advice and appraisals only in fields in which the persons providing it have demonstrable expertise. SilvaVest is not authorised and does not have the necessary expertise to provide legal or tax advice. We enable clients to obtain such advice via our network of specialist legal practices and tax advisers in the country where the investment is to be made.
